The Key to Capture Everything

Don't you hate it when a fabulous idea floats through your mind and by the time you're in a convenient location to take note of it - in front of your computer, at your desk with a pad of paper - you've forgotten it. And what about the Web? How many times do you find something cool only to lose track of it and never find it again? Well, Evernote is here to save the day. It's your one-stop capture application. It allows you to grab hold of information wherever you are, using any device or platform you find most convenient. And then it makes that information accessible and searchable, any time, from anywhere. You can use your phone, your computer, or your email to capture tasks, reminders, information, or anything else you stumble upon. You can scan items in and even record audio. The options are almost limitless! If you're interested in learning more, check out this awesome tutorial on Lifehacker.

Out with the Old

I used to work at a bank and everyone there had one of those huge paper calendars that covered the entire top of their desks. It was kind of cool and I got to where I depended on my little scribbles to keep me constantly up-to-date throughout the week. Of course, those calendars aren't all that nice looking and mine always had coffee stains. Plus, with the popularity of Outlook, they seem to have gone out of fashion these days. Here's a nice techno-substitute: Outlook on the Desktop. This application puts a transparent calendar with all of your appointments from Outlook onto your Windows desktop. It's a nice at-a-glance view of your calendar that doesn't clutter up your real desktop.

A Clever Way to Make a Few Bucks

Do you have an extra storage closet you don't use? Is your garage only about half full? Or maybe you've got a guest room you're not doing anything with. Why not rent out the extra space for storage - and collect a few extra bucks in the process? It's easy with Homstie. Use this website to rent out your unused space or find affordable storage space in your area. It's a novel concept and one that I think will do well in this economy.
