Around the Web: Attention Penny Pinchers
Pretty May Flowers
This is courtesy of my mother and one of her many forwarded e-mails. Most of them, I'll admit, I barely pause to read. But this one is cute, seasonal and interactive, so I like it. Watch your garden grow here. Just click anywhere on the screen and, if you want some real fun, click and drag all over! Little kids will love this. Hmm....I wonder if my mother still thinks of me as a 5 year old? That would explain so much.
Watch and Learn
Being a visual learner, I love "how-to" videos. So, Howcast obviously caught my attention right away. First, I learned How to Use Bobby Pins to Make Three Cute Hairstyles. Then, because I was curious, I decided to see How to Make a Wallet from a Computer Keyboard. And, just for kicks, I watched How to Lead a Double Life. So, as you can tell, there's a huge variety of things to learn on this site - some useful, some absurd and some utterly worthless. But all are entertaining.
Discounts, Bargains and Coupons, Oh My!
Recently, I've stumbled upon a vast array of bargain-hunting websites. Instead of slowly trickling them out through the next six months of columns, I thought I'd just throw them all in your direction and let you decide what's worthwhile. If you've had good or bad experiences with any of these, please share! We're all looking to save a few pennies these days.
- Fat Wallet
- Ben's Bargains
- My Bargain Buddy
- Coupon Mom
- Hot Coupon World
- Penny Pincher Gazette
- Coupon Mountain
I have more, but seriously: We don't have all day.
