Generally, your payment terms and conditions are stated on your invoice, i.e. net 30. You would also want them listed on any quotes given, price lists, and on your website.
I did find a good template on the web for terms and conditions, which also include payment terms. You can get some good terminology from that. |

Another thing you may consider would be to offer a discount if payment is received early. A lot of business owners appreciate this. For instance 1% 10 Net 30. If they pay within 10 days they get a 1% discount, if not, payment is due in 30 days. You can also add interest if payment isn't received by the 30 days.
