How to charge for services
I manage a very small medical office ( 1 doctor), he has a friend of the same speciality that wants us to take all of her incoming calls, manage her charts and schedule appointments for her but she does not want to use our office space to see patients. We are stumped as to how to charge her for these services. Has anyone else had a similar situation ? How did you charge / bill for these services? This other doctor will not be in our office at all other than chart storage.

Re: How to charge for services
Something my sister-in-law does as a freelance accountant is to charge for each group she works on for small companies. So if she handles the payroll, accounting and tax work for a company she charges them a price for each one. If you handle calls, schedule appointments, and manage/store charts, then you might want to have a monthly or bimonthly invoice with a percentage of the phone bill and your office rent plus an assistant's fee (for the price one might pay to have an employed staff do the jobs). Hope that maybe gives you an idea.

Thank you for your advice. I think that is a great idea?

Re: How to charge for services
I agree with badgegirl. If you tried to keep track adn charge by call or whatnot, that would be too tie consuming for your office. Set a rate and if you see it growing (the amount of calls, etc) up the rate.
