Re: Conquer the Two Week Jitters
Gee Libby, did you know that I'm actually working my last three weeks at my current job? Most often I find a very timely article on OfficeArrow, but this is almost scary...and quite perfect. I completely agree with what you have to say. I'm taking these last three weeks to really clean up and make the transition to my replacement as smooth as possible. I'm doing this out of loyalty and respect for my employer, and really respect to the position. What does it say about me and my position as an Executive Assistant if I just leave willy-nilly and say "I'm outta here!" Remember, you're only as good as your last impression. It doesn't matter how irreplaceable people think you are. If you leave without tying up loose ends, you'll be thought of in a negative way. Really though, that's not the main reason why you should take your last weeks on the job seriously...it's so that you finish what you started and feel good about the job you did.

Thanks for this great article Libby. It reconfirmed what I was thinking and now not only am I excited to start my new job, but I'm also excited to finish my current one - properly!
