Lately I've found that more and more times I'm getting asked to do things, not only for my bosses but for the other bankers in our group. When I have the time I will, usually it's because thier assistant is out. I will even assist the assistants, time permitting and I don't mind that I'm becoming the go to guy. I also started to take some improv classes a few years ago and I find that these really help with interacting with others, to get me out of that shyness bubble and it really helps with presentation, public speaking, even giving your boss some bad news-which is always the hardest thing to do to walk in his office. I think that it would be a cool peice to write about how an improv course really helps in the work place. I live in New York but there must be courses like this all over the country.
