Putting together a proposal for software - help!
I've just started a new job with a company who is trying to move from a largely paper and file based system to an electronic system. (We're talking serious paper here - most of the contacts aren't even in Outlook, and there is NO electronic calendar!)
One of the reasons I was hired was my previous experience setting up, or improving upon CRMs, and increasing leads and prospecting results. However, I've always gone in with the company having already selected their CRM program. Here, I'm starting from beyond scratch. We're talking practically putting together the whisk before you start mixing kind of scratch. I've decided on Salesforce.com as my CRM of choice. We use iPhones here in our office, and the salesforce iPhone plug-in is much better than the others I've seen. It is relatively low cost to start with, there will only be a few users throughout the company. It is very easy to expand, it is a very established company, and the features keep getting added on. I also have previous experience, so, that's a plus. :P I will need to submit a proposal for basically the entire project. The system I've chosen, why I've chosen it, how much it will be, why I think it's worth the cost, how effective it will be (both general wise and numbers-wise) and the implementation process and timeline. While I've done informal proposals before (that have amounted to a spreadsheet, an article or two, and a nicely worded 'please can i have?'), I've never done one on this scale. Is there anyone who might have a template, or a link to a good informative site, or even a simple good luck? :P Thanks! |

Re: Putting together a proposal for software - help!
Hi, you can look into software databases. I know you probably don't work for a law office, but two previous law offices I worked for, I introduced "Needles" database. They loved it and purchased it. Its an excellent database/case management software, depending on how much information you want to store in the database. Needles will tweak the software to your company's needs. I'd suggest you check it out, ttp://www.needleslaw.info/factsheet_needlesdetails.php
I hope its what you're looking for, however, there are many many more out there. When I did my proposal I introduced other databases as well, there's abacus, amicus, time management etc. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to email mme anytime.
