Color Laser Printer, High Level of Use
This question was asked by a focus gropu member:

I need a new color laser printer that is a workhorse. I currently have an OKIDATA C5100 and the cartridges are over $125.00 each. OKIDATA no longer recycles the cartridges. I have been lucky to find that Cartridge World recycles the cartridges and the prices are half that of OKIDATA. I have had the printer a little over 5 years now, so I’m ready to research alternatives.

Chrissy-
Did you ever end up buying another printer? If so which one did you go with and why?
Thanks!

Buy a color printer that has an all inclusive cost per print for color and black and white. I have a Ricoh 411DN color printer that does cost per print at 11 cents per page and 1.5 cents black and white. The cost per print includes all toner, drums, parts, labor etc that so that you are compeletly covered for everything except paper. The cost of the machine may be a little more, but you can make up the difference in a short time. For example your $ 125 cartridge would give you 1,136 color prints and you would never have to worry about how much color to put on a page because it is the same price no matter what. Let me know if you have more questions.
