Question: 5S Team

Hello!
Recently, a small group of 5 (myself included) were sat down by a supervisor in my company and told that we were chosen randomly to start a 5S team--per the owner of the company's request. He is very meticulous about keeping the business clean, organized, and very presentable in any given situation. Which is great! Out of the 5 of us, I was pretty much the only one enthusiastic and not complaining, so the supervisor appointed me as head of this 5S crew.
Hence, my dilemma. I've no clue where to begin. Aside from cleaning and organizing--that's no problem! That I can do. I'm nervous for two reasons: 1) the owner of the company is keeping such a close eye on this project, and 2) how to deal with my coworkers. One of the main issues is our work stations being disorderly, cluttered, having stacks of papers and folders to the ceiling.... I'm not sure how to approach the situation. I'm very young, I've only worked here for a year, and SEVERAL people here have worked at this company for as long as I have been living! They don't take kindly to "suggestions", especially from an assistant. Does anyone have any ideas on how to approach this situation? I know I can't avoid all grumblings, but I'm hoping to step on the least amount of toes as possible--and to step gingerly. Any ideas for a 5S team would be grossly appreciated!

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to email me at chelseel@fieldfastener.com. Thanks much!

Hi,
Does anyone have an accrued monthly payroll spreadsheet for calculations for bi-weekly payroll. Using the gross amount from each account - add all gross amounts from each employee. For the current month. After you have the gross together divide the list by 14 to get the amount per day - then multiply by the number of days until the end of the month. Does this make sense to anyone. Does anyone have a spreadsjeet to calculate.

HELP! This is a great question for the Office Arrow community and I'm hoping that someone from Miami is able to help me out.

I start my new job in a week and I want to dazzle my new boss of course. He's already begun emailing me (he's eager to have an assistant again). His first request is the following:

"I am a keynote speaker at the (yadda yadda) conference in Miami in October. I want to host an exclusive dinner for 10 people at a restaurant in Miami, preferably in South Beach. But I need a very exclusive, high end place where I won't see others from the conference. A place only the locals know about. Dinner at 8:30. Reservation in my name. Can you do this?"

Of course my answer was a solid, unwavering Y.E.S. He doesn't need to know I'm thinking "OMG, I know nothing about Miami." I'm going to of course call the Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, but he wants something "only the locals know about." I immediately thought of Office Arrow. Anyone have any hot tips?

Thanks!! :D
