interview questions
I will be interviewing for an Executive Assistant position soon. Having not had an interview in over 10years, I am wondering if there are any general questions anyone could recommend when asked if there are any questions (for example, what are your expectations of me, etc.)
thank you |

Re: interview questions
Great advice, Chrissy - well thought out. I will use some of them next week for a 2nd interview! I would add the basic of describing a typical day as well as asking for details of a supervisor's management style and culture of the office.

Re: interview questions
Don't Drink the Water! This is a phrased I coined when I had my interview (by the way, I got the job). When I had my interview I was asked if I would like a glass of water, I accepted. It was a group interview in which I was asked different questions by 4 individuals! I was so nervous to walk into the room and see these people staring at me! So, I sat the water next to me, sat straight up in the chair, and crossed my hands on the table (intertwining my fingers). I displayed confidence and answered each question as such. Every now and again I would glance at the glass of water and would think to myself, taking a drink from that cup will be my reward. So, when the last question was asked, I took a sip, stood up, shook hands with everyone, thanked them and left. Signs of nervousness include fidgeting, taking drinks from the water frequently, and hesitating (some think that taking sips from the glass after asking a question would mean that the person is thinking of a response). I think the key in any interview is to remain confident and sell yourself. Be prepared and do research on the company beforehand. During my interview I pointed out that the company's website had a spelling error!
