Interview questions
I am job hunting at the moment and I have a question for EA/PA's as to what type of questions to ask to guage how your employer views the role. I have a really good CV and good Corporate experience, have had roles with lots of responsibilites and yet my last 2 jobs I've found myself in roles where I was underutilised, where the manager sees me as an admin resource doing mundane tasks. I want to work for someone who appreciates the value of having a PA.

Re: Interview questions
I've found in some of my positions, that I had to take the lead in educating my boss in what I was capable of doing. I usually sat in the management meetings to take notes, and had a good idea of what was happening and what the priorities were. When I had an idea, I'd speak up, and eventually, he (and his direct reports) became much more comfortable delegating more advanced tasks and giving me more discretion in the work that I performed.

that's what I've generally done as well. However I suddenly find myself working for someone who does't consider the PA role as part of the team so I no longer attend the management meetings. So I've decided to move on but I want to be in this situation again.
