Re: questions for support worker interview
I am not sure if I am on the right track--I believe the Special Needs Department would involve dealing with students who under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)and possibly other unique problems. I would ask if I needed to qualify students under the ADA. Will you be working with professors and other college personnel to arrange accommodations? How much authority do I have? How do I determine an acceptable accommodation? How much room for negotiation is there when dealing with college personnel. How do I determine if the student is asking for a reasonable accommodation?

I believe this could be an immensely rewarding, albeit sometimes frustrating, job.

Good Luck!

Working in a college environment, you also need to ask about FERPA and student privacy issues.
