You left one thing off of your structure: the date. The date of your letter should go between your name and address and the recipient name and address.
Also, think about how your letter will look. If the letter is relatively short, use a larger margin at the top of the page to move it down a bit so it will look balanced on the page. I find when opening mail that I immediately get the impression of someone not professional if their letter is all grouped together at the top of the page. When I e-mail my resume, I attach the cover letter as well, so that there is a professional looking cover letter to print out. In my e-mail, I'll simply say, "Please find the attached cover letter and e-mail for the position of (the position applied for)." |

Thank you for the cover letter information .It was very helpful I have written what i think is a good resume . I am about to write a cover letter for the CRUISE SHIP industry...any suggestion or advice in reference to that industry. Thanks, Mike |
