Hi Sundari,

Welcome to OA! You've come to the right place. I'd suggest you start by reading our articles about 5 Simple Steps for More Professional Writing and Oops, I Missed That: Tips for Proofreading Business Correspondence

Re: Help me in improving professional skills
I suggest you attend a course or two (your employer might foot the bill for this - since it will be benefiting THEIR business. Even if you have to fork the money out yourself, it can be well worth it.)

Skillpath Seminars (SkillPath Seminars) are great. They have a few courses specifically for professional business writing.

I went to one of their seminars just last week (How to Be a Front Desk Superstar), and I thought it was very beneficial, and most importantly, practical.

Good luck

-K

That's fantastic that you want to improve on your skills. I used to love the Pendaflex Learning Center. They had offered courses for free online. There are numerous seminars that you can attend or do via the internet. I would also suggest different reading materials. There are alot of books on this. One that I read recently was "How to be a Kick-Ass Assistant." If you join a professional organization, they may also have some resources available.

Take care!

Re: Help me in improving professional skills
There are a few approaches I recommend. The first and best approach is purchasing a workbook-type book where you can actually skill practice. There was one I used to love called Grammar for Grownups. Here is the link: Grammar for Grownups | Write It Well - Business Writing Books and Business Writing Training. You might also find some other good books there.

Next, I would purchase a good reference book to keep at my desk (and read, too). You will see the most change when you get to practice the skill.

There may also be some on-line courses you can take.

Good luck. I apolozig for my very late response. I've been on extensive travel and speaking thus limiting my time for responses to inquiries.
