Silly Slips of the Tongue
If you've ever said the wrong thing at the wrong time, you probably have similar stories to tell. Sometimes our mouths just do what they want, without regard for what our brains are telling them to do. Check out my experiences with silly slips of the tongue.

Re: Weekend Wind Down: Silly Slips of the Tongue
I was talking to my client and referred to my boss by my two-bosses-ago name. Needless to say the client was refused.

And, of course, when you change jobs, it's so hard not to answer the phone with the name of the company from the previous job. Can't tell you how many times I've done that.

Or saying "You're welcome" when no one's said "Thank You". *laughs* I tend to anticipate "Thank You" for some reason.

The "You too" is totally a spiel of Bryan Regan's. It is hilarious to hear him talk about this odd little phrase that we say at the most random and absurd times.

I am an over thanker. I find myself saying "thank you" even when it's totally not necessary - and sometimes when it's even a little weird. I think I use it more as a wrap up for conversations. Sort of my way of saying, "Ok. We're done talking now." I suppose it's better to be overly polite than not polite enough, right??
