Inner office birthday gathering for my boss
My boss's birthday is this Saturday and I would like to plan a sort of "inner office gathering" and/or lunch for him on Friday. Any ideas?

Hi Morgen,

This is a great topic. We have had some discussions about how to celebrate employee birthdays as well as an article titled How to Celebrate Your Boss's Birthday. This should give you a good start.

When I have celebrated my boss's birthday in the past, I purchased a cake and passed a card around the office for everyone to sign. I added a meeting to her calendar and had everyone meet in the conference room a few minutes prior to the meeting so she would be surprised when she walked in. After the first year it was no longer a surprise, but it was the thought that counted

How about a pot luck with a theme of the boss' favorite foods? People can either guess what the favorite foods are or tyou can provide a list.
