Planning the Company Retreat
A company retreat is about more than fun and games, especially if you're in charge of organizing it! Another thing to consider when setting up a retreat is how accessible do you want your participants to be. Will this be a no cell phone/blackberry day? State up front that all electronics will be off during sessions. Have one designated contact person with their cell on to take emergency calls. Everyone else is incognito for the day(s) of the retreat. But try to build in some time during the day when they can sneak away to make calls and answer a few important e-mail.
