Monthly Birthdays
Hello Everyone,
At my work, we celebrate Monthly Birthdays by purchasing two cakes--one for morning/afternoon employees and the other for afternoon/evening employees. This has really brought up morale as everyone looks forward to eating cake every month. Earlier this month, around 50 employees have started a Health & Fitness Challenge. Everyone in this challenge is eating better and excercising more. So far, we are doing REALLY well. Here's my dilemma: We are trying to figure out a "treat" that will "please those who are particpating in the challenge and those who are not. It's difficult because there are over 100 employees who are NOT particpating in the challenge so it's hard to decide on what to get. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could "please" everyone? (I know this is really possible, but we are at least going to try.) Thank you! __________________

Re: Monthly Birthdays
I don't know if someone makes your cakes or if you get them from the grocery store but you might want to look at making some cookies. These are peanut butter cookiesand my sister-in-law has made some chocolate chip cookies with whole wheat flour, honey, and carob chips. I really liked them but I use to the taste of carob and not everyone is. Or you could looking to something like a parfait.

Re: Monthly Birthdays
A small piece of cake is not going to knock one's fitness goals "off track". You might want to bring in some bagels and fruit for both groups. Sounds like you have quite a few who are not participating in the challenge, so I wouldn't want to see them give up their monthly piece of cake - especially if it's CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!

Fruit, more fruit, and low fat cookies. Many people won't mind giving up a slice of cake for a bowl of freshly sliced strawberries and Cool Whip. Also, many bakeries offer low fat cookies that are absolutely delicious. And then, there's always room for Jello!

Re: Monthly Birthdays
Thank you everyone for your input & ideas!! They are ALL great!! Unfortunately (or fortunately, not sure), my boss informed me that we are just going to continue with the cakes!! It was decided that it wasn't worth buying healthy snacs for a small amount of people since not everyone else is participating in the health & fitness challenge.
All your ideas sound yummy!! I will keep these ideas in mind should MORE people join this challenge. THANK YOU AGAIN!! __________________
