What is the difference between “start a discussion” and “ask a question?”
Which option do I use to post feedback on the site?

Re: What is the difference between “start a discussion” and “ask a question?”
The only difference is that if you select ask a question, your discussion will be listed on the site as a "Question" and be categorized there for others to know you're asking a question. It will show up in right hand side areas like the "Newest Questions" , etc.
If you select start a discussion, you can select other categories for your discussion to show up in (including Questions). Make sense?
Both create discussions, but the "Thread Prefix" is just a way to categorize discussion threads.
