Altering a template
I downloaded a template from Microsoft.

I customized it. Now I have a second page to the document that I do not need. I have, to the best of my ability, followed the directions from the Microsoft site tried to delete the second page. I have not been successful.

I am wondering if I cannot delete it because it is in a template.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to delete the second page of this document? I cannot send it electronically with a blank page at the end.

This has been very frustrating and would appreciate any input.

What is the last thing on the page? Sometimes if it's a table there is a paragraph return at the bottom that forces a second page. You can "shrink" this to a font of 4pt and sometimes that will do the trick.

Have you tried adjusting the space between paragraphs? Is there a page break that you haven't found yet? You should be able to make it fit on one page, even if it is a Microsoft template.

If you don't currently have the option on, somewhere on your toolbar will be a button that looks like a paragraph symbol. Click on that and it will show you all the formatting symbols in your document, making it easier to see where there are extra spaces and hard returns. I find this invaluable when trying to figure out why something is happening in my documents.
