What Should I Read Next?
Hey Book Club folks - I just purchased the book of the month and haven't started it yet (I know, I know - I'm behind already!) but I came across a really cool website that I wanted to share with other book lovers. It's called What Should I Read Next?. It's so cool! Just enter than title and author of the book you're currently reading and it will give you a list of recommendations for your next book.

Now, I'm am totally going to start reading "How Full is Your Bucket" tonight! I could definitely use a few strategies for bringing more positivity to my work

Anybody started the book yet? How is it so far?

Re: What Should I Read Next?
I started reading the book Tuesday night and it is a quick read. I immediately understood the concept and the author makes it interesting by adding some unique facts and statistics. Who knew negativity could have such an impact on your health??

I am excited to implement the practical advice in my daily life and see the positive impact that comes from it.

Has anyone else started to read the book? I finished it already and thought it was very insightful.

I have already started to see how "filling buckets" throughout the day can really improve/strengthen relationships, in both my work life and my personal life.

I just started it today! I totally get the concept and look forward to reading on for applicable uses. It makes sense and I think it's something I've always known, but obviously we all have trouble with keeping our own buckets filled as well as helping others fill theirs. There's no doubt the world would be a better place if we all had good intentions with our dippers. Eww, that probably sounds dirty to anyone not reading the book.

Re: What Should I Read Next?
O.K. I just finished it. Good stuff as far as content and life strategies. I know that I can use this in my personal and professional life, but honestly, I've tried before.
I admit that it does work, however, I can't seem to make it last. Being more positive and kinder to human beings is something that I've long strived for. Something I’ve often done is show appreciation for the things in my life. It’s not necessarily verbal or given to another person…I choose to silently thank everyone and everything in my life right before I got to bed. I tell myself what I want as well, and repeat it over and over. It’s not unrealistic wishes, its goals I wish to attain. I usually drift off to sleep thinking of these things, and I honestly can’t think of one goal that I haven’t met. These goals are constantly changing and some are a little grander than others, but it works. I’m pretty sure it was something I picked up from the movie “The Secret”. I think for me, it’s very difficult to praise others. I’m not sure why, but I have a huge ego, so I’m guessing that has something to do with it. Maybe I’m concerned that if I praise someone else, the attention will be taken from me. It’s something I’m working on.

With that in mind, I think that day by day I learn little tricks to make others happy and consequently, myself. Though the balance between nature and nurture is incredibly delicate there are some of us who have to work a little harder at creating positivity in our lives. I think the moral of the story more so than filling buckets is to be a constant work in progress; the eternal self improver. Making others happy is important as well and I completely understand the idea behind making others happy and in turn it makes up happy, but I also think knowledge and self improvement are contagious.

I’ll keep trying…
