I'm working on setting up a filing system for various program contracts (electronic and hard copy.) Has anyone created a contract management system within Excel to track contracts and agreements? Thanks.

Char, I need something to help me track all of the stages of the contract process too. I'm setting up a spreadsheet with links to the pdf versions of the contracts that are located elsewhere on the network. I have columns for date, contact (usually the lawyer's email address), and cells for the various versions we are working on. Also client name , email address and phone number.

It's not finished yet, but maybe you'll get some ideas to get you started.

Check out Smartsheet.com the ability for unlimited attachments, sharing, tracking of the doc process is at the work item level is great with clients and other workers in your org. You will need no other system to manage your work.

I am looking for a similar sheet. Also I was looking for a contract summary page to attach to the contract, and send out to management so they are aware of new contract terms.

I did not want to go to an external site to manage the contracts, although smartsheet.com looks like a good tool.
