Email Management Best Practices
I am in charge of filtering my CEO's email and have not had any experience with this in my previous EA positions. I am supposed to review their inbox and take care of any administrative tasks - as well as make sure the CEO knows of important items. We are using Outlook. Can you please let me know how you manage this? Also, any tips?

We use an exchange server where we can both (the boss and I) can access his email at the same time. Anything that Ihave not handled I mark as unread so when he accesses his email he know these are the things he should pay attention to.

There are a few things that I find helpful when doing this. The first is to set up rules so that certain items automatically go into certain folders. This will keep you inbox organized and the unread messages will still show as unread. Secondly flag items using colored flags. For example: red for administrative tasks, yellow for information to pass to ceo.. you can also set reminders here for follow us.
