Business rules for filing documents in folders
Dear Brain Team
I would like access to a copy of "Business rules for filing documents in folders" developed by an organisation that has implemented an electronic records and document management system OR do you know know where I can get a copy i.e. point me in the right direction. Many thanks |

Hi RecordsMann - The best place to find information on records management is at Records Information Management, Electronic Records, RIM - ARMA International. This is an international records managers'association which is not-for-profit and provides information for traditional (paper), archival and electronic records management. I would check it out. If you are looking for a template type document that you can pattern your guidelines from try a Canadian site - http://www.im.gov.ab.ca/publications...usRulesEIM.pdf. This is an over-the-top detailed document but it provides good information and will give you plenty of ideas. It is also a good sounding board for what your company may want or even not want in the way of a 'rule' book. If you are not from Canada you can still have a look at this, just keep in mind legislation from your country that may change some of these rules slightly when compiling your set of rules.
