Where Did My File Go?
You've just finished a document, saved it, and now you can't find it. Don't worry - you don't necessarily have to re-do your work. We've made a list of some basic steps to troubleshoot the problem, find that lost document and prevent data loss in the future.

Two other places to look:
1) if you are using Windows, click on Start and then Documents. The most recent documents you had open are listed there.
2) If it was an Office document, open the application the document was open in (Word, Excel, etc). Click on File, and at the bottom are the most recent files opened in that application. The default is 4, but if you are like me and are constantly opening and closing documents, you might want to increase the number of files that show here. You do so by clicking on Tools and then Options. Click on the General tab, and about halfway down it says "Recently used file list". Change the number there to the number of files you want listed under File in the application.
