Learning the boss's frequent flyer numbers should be one of the admin's first tasks when she starts a new job. Whenever you make flight arrangements, unless there's a serious time or cost discrepancy, always try to get your boss a flight with his airline of choice.
I used to take the boss's info home with me on the weekend if his 72 hour advance landed on a Saturday or Sunday, so I could be the first to call in and get the bonus upgrade to first class for him. That and the ability to place conference calls is why he loved me *laughs*. __________________

Using a TMC (Travel Management Company) eliminates having to know your bosses FF#s (it's stored in the profile), nonetheless, have a back-up file with all pertinent information.
As frequent flyer programs go, Continental gets high marks, however, Delta is rolling out a new "Diamond Medallion Stauts" for 2010. You can check out all the specifics on Delta's web site. AirTran has an "A2B" corporate travel program that is specifically designed for corporate accounts. I'm sure there are others, but without a dedicated travel agency working direectly with your company, you'll probably miss out on alot of savings - hotels and car rentals included. |
