Re: In the News: Eco-Friendly Business Travel
I have never noticed a hotel I stayed at to be eco-friendly. Has anyone ever stayed at one? Are there like certain chains that seems to be more eco-friendly then others? I would love to help protect the environment but with the economy the way it is, I wonder, does it cost more?

Re: In the News: Eco-Friendly Business Travel
I have stayed in hotels that provide bedside-table cards that ask guests to get involved in the hotel's "green" program. The card gives you the option to have your sheets changed and towels washed daily. They don't wash and change daily unless you put a card on your linens letting them know you'd like that services.
It's a small step but one that can have a huge impact with high participation levels. -Nicole |

Re: In the News: Eco-Friendly Business Travel
I see. The biggest problem with these green ideas, they take such a big effort to make a change that each individual then feels like, "why do it?" Not that you feel that way or anyone reading it feels that way but we all know we can do this and that to save energy and yet it seems so few do, I am guilty of this as well.
For some reason though reading about the sea turtles will now make me very aware of the light being emitted from my hotel room. I love animals and have such an instinct to protect them. |
