The Four Main Areas really helped! Once I figured out that my 'out' section should really be my 'in' section, the layout of my desk sort of...fell into place!

Great article, Sara! I work from home and can use as many of these ideas as possible! Organization spills over into so many aspects of our lives - I have discovered (finally!!) that the more organized I am with the tangible things (desk, files, kitchen cupboards, etc.!) that it has a direct influence on my mental organization. I have more clarity and can utilize more effective critical thinking skills when my surroundings are organized and things can be found easily.
