Hello,

I am doing some research into the possibility of going electronic with my Board packets. I'm wondering if there is anyone that currently produces their packets electronically, and if so, what company/site do you use?

I work at the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and we send the packets to the board members in a pdf format so they can view, print or save/download. I have a primo pdf so I can scan from the document on my computer. They seem to enjoy this format. Our board consists of 41 members. We also break the packet into two packets. The main packet and the support material. They like the idea that the support material is there should they have a question but do not have to actually print the support materials. We have been using this format for a year now and it all seems to be going well. The thing with the pdf is the only thing they need on their computer to view the packet is adobe which is also free.

We have a small volunteer board, so sending it to them to have them print it wouldn't work. They are already giving of their time so the least I can do is prepare their binder and do the printing.

For teleconference Committee meetings however I do PDF the documents, but if you are going to PDF it, have it very organized for the receiver. For instance, I put a cover sheet before each item since they don't have the benefit of tabs.
