I've been using the Bookins service for several months now, and love it! It's easy to join, and easy to use. You just list the ISBN numbers of books (or books on CD or DVDs) that you no longer want; when another member wants one of your items, they pay Bookins $4.49 for postage, and Bookins provides you with a prepaid mailing label; you drop it in the mailbox, and Bookins adds 'points' to your account. When you find a book or DVD that you want, you buy it with those points, pay Bookins $4.49 for postage, and you get the item within about a week.

This is an incredibly cheap and easy way to get rid of all those books that are sitting around collecting dust, and pick up the new ones you've been wanting - without paying a lot of money.

Now, whenever I want to buy a book, book on CD, or DVD, I always check Bookins first.

That's a great concept. I'm in the middle of a move and was packing up all my books thinking "Why am I keeping all these books??"

Maybe I'll use Bookins to give myself a reason for keeping them or to find our next OA book club book.
