I left a job where payments were missing, false statements on legal documents. I wanted if nothing more, the "home office" to not think I left on nice terms. In my business the above items can cause "loss of license" and it wasn't worth it to me.

Depending on the individual's situation, it may not be in one's best interest to disclose the company and the position you have accepted. That could be discussed during your exit interview, if you feel it is appropriate. I also like using "Sincerely" vs "Best Wishes" for the complimentary closing.
