Re: Interview Do's and Dont's
Hi Mapatite64! This is a great question. Do you have an interview coming up?

Here are some of my quick thoughts on Do's and Do Not's for an interview:

Do's
  • Do dress professionally - even if you know the company is a little more casual.
  • Be prepared - have several copies of your resume printed and your references.
  • Practice, Practice, Practice - make sure you are comfortable answering various types of interview question and be comfortable talking about your accomplishments. Check out The STAR Method of Interviewing.
Do Not's
  • Don't use bad language - even if the interviewer is using bad language you should keep it professional.
  • Don't arrive late - you should try to be at least 10 minutes early

We also have several other articles relating to interviewing under Career Development on our site. Check out the Behavioral Interview Guide to assist you with practicing interview questions.

Good Luck!
