Boston Back Bay
I'm headed to Boston in June and would love a recommendation for a great "Boston Experience" restaurant along the back bay. Anyone know of where to go? Only limitation: no sushi.

Stuart:

Its been awhile since I've been in Boston. Would recommend two tactics:

(1) Call the concierge at either the Four Seasons or the Ritz-Carlton. Even if you are not a guest, they will assist you.

(2) As soon as you hit the city, grab a copy of the alternative weekly newspaper, "The Improper Bostonian". They are free available at newstands throughout the city.

Re: Boston Back Bay
Right in Back Bay there are a ton to choose from, either high end hangouts like Grill 23 or a cool spot when the weather is good like Tapeo. My wife always likes Stephanie's on Newbury. I actually prefer the restaurants on Charles St. (technically Beacon Hill) - Artu, Figs or Paramount - or down in the South End, like Giacomo's or Hammersley's Bistro. Pick what cuisine you want and work from there.
