Re: Professional Development
Hey there,

Well, depending on what you're looking for, I can recommend a few different programs. The Performance Institute is hosting a big summit in Arlington, VA for Administrative Assistants. That would be great for networking and meeting others. And the agenda looks great!

I've also been to a couple Franklin Covey workshops (about time management, leadership, etc.) Those are better for learning and expanding skills - you'd probably get a bigger variety of professionals at a workshop like that.

Oh, and I did a great seminar through Fred Pryor too. That was on handling irritable customers...VERY helpful!

Re: Professional Development
I highly recommend the Administrative Professional Course offered by P.A. Douglas and Associates. They are offered in several cities in the U.S. and Canada. P.A. Douglas & Associates for more information.

Re: Professional Development
I also provide on-site professional development seminars. Feel free to visit my website at Wingspan - Expanding Potential for Personal & Professional Achievement. A lot of companies are taking advantage of the cost savings of bringing in a professional development specialist like myself so more admins get the benefit of attending. It's more cost effective since so many of the off-site seminars are getting very expensive for one attendee.
