Airport Security Frequent Traveler Programs
Has anyone used Clear, the fast pass program for airport security and can you provide feedback on whether it is worthwhile?
Jacksonville (JAX) has been offering this service where travelers are pre-screened and provided with a card that provides quick access through security at participating airports. It's ~$100, but I'm wondering how fast one really gets through the lines. Any experiences? Please share. |

Re: Airport Security Frequent Traveler Programs
I can let you know tomorrow. I applied for a Clear card for my boss and he'll be using it for the first time tomorrow. The application process was easy and relatively cheap. Both our airports (DCA & IAD) accept them.

Re: Airport Security Frequent Traveler Programs
OK, just spoke with my boss about FlyClear. There was no line and he was through Clear in a minute. After that, the traveler is allowed to step to the front of the LONG security line and take shoes off and have bag scanned without waiting. Obviously there were a few "comments" from the people who had been standing in the security line forever but he got past it didn't take it personally.

My former CEO was very satisfied with Clear; used it at SFO. Well worth the $$$. Robin |
