Quality Training?
I have been to one training designated for Administrative Assistants and to be honest, it was not quality. What trainings would you recommend for Executive Assistants? There are 2 of us that are EAs and a lot of AAs here that would love good training and ideas to revamp our positions. Thanks for your input!

Re: Quality Training?
I found by reading what my Exec's are reading is great training for my job. Here in Northern Virginia we also have a great ACTIVE Chapter of the IAAP that is a great resource and we involve training in some of Monthly meetings. Alan - Alexandria, VA

Re: Quality Training?
Hi Katie,
Just to let you know I provide quality, on-site professional development training for assistants. One of the reasons I started my business was because as a high level assistant for 20 years, I was also consistently looking for quality training and attended training that just didn't seem to have any "meat" to it. I focus on building credibility, ethical dilemmas and other topics that relate to what assistants really need today. Let me know if you would like to chat. Or you can visit my website Wingspan - Expanding Potential for Personal & Professional Achievement. I would also agree with Alan's post about reading what your Execs are reading. It is a great way to stay abreast of current management trends and issues. Have a great weekend! __________________

Well executive training is a big topic to discuss. It includes many features like team building, leadership development, Time Management Training which includes planning, allocating, setting goals, delegation, analysis of time spent, monitoring, organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing. Initially executive training is useful in business or work activities only, but now the term has broadened to include personal activities also. It is a system which is designed as a combination of processes, tools and techniques. So it's a long topic to discuss.. Regards, Nelson |
