Project Management
Hello:
I am wondering if you good people would give me a short reply on how you manage and what tools you use to manage projects? I use a couple different methods, but none is working for me right now, as I have too much paper, too many post-its, etc. I also use an access database, but that takes time to make an entry into, so I have to make time at home to update it. The projects I am involved in typically involve setting meetings with anywhere from 5-15 players who have loaded schedules. Some of the projects are training classes that necessitate prework or texts that need to be sent out to be read by the participants, rooms to be reserved, emails to be returned to direct supports who are required to fill out questionnaires on participants, etc. Does anyone have any one tool or how do you successfully manage your projects? Interested in everyone's feedback, and thank you TONS for your time. Best regards, Lisa2222 |

Re: Project Management
Lisa, I can recommend an online tool that might be helpful for managing projects: it's called Basecamp. Here at OfficeArrow, we use this frequently. It's easy to use and you can give access to various members of your group. Then, you can share files, tasks, and to-do lists. It might be the perfect thing for you.
Also, one of our writers informed me about Wrike. She wrote about it here - read the article and see if it sounds like something that will meet your needs. All in all, finding an online management system is a great way to go because it allows multiple parties to share information at once, from any computer with an internet connection. Good luck! |

Re: Project Management
Hi Lisa,
Just wanted to add that we also have a project management checklist here. Customize it to fit your needs and tell us how it worked out. Hope this helps. |

Re: Project Management
Most important is to keep it simple through all the project management process. Do not build/use more complex project management systems than project itself. Try Online resource planning and project management software - Yutiti It is really simple and free tool using interactive gantt charts.
