I am the new coordinator for our company's "Annual Giving drive". I'm trying to come up with fundraising ideas and build some excitement around it, but we have a very corporate atmosphere here. They have to be events that can happen on-site during business hours, so no dinners or off-site events such as a bar or restaurant. I want to come up with more ideas than just the standard ice cream social or pizza party. So far my favorite idea is casual Fridays, since we wear suits every day. What things have you tried in your office that were successful?

I honestly haven't had a lot of fund raising experience in my day. But, I think the casual Friday idea is a great one. Wearing more comfortable clothing once a week is quite an incentive especially for such a professional office. Have you run this idea by the powers that be?

I would certainly be interested to know what others have tried.

Have you thought about doing a raffle? It might be great around the holidays to raffle off a nice gift or a gift certificate. The cost per ticket could be a couple dollars, so the cost to those entering is minimal. The extra money you make on the tickets could go to your fundraising cause.
