Re: Nerdy Confessions
Oh.. I could give you a list of hundreds of nerdy things I do that I would never admit to anyone... :-)
I love Harry Potter as well, I would rather read a book any day than watch the movie! I sing very loudly to Queen in my car, I car dance like there is no tomorrow (much to my husband's emabrrassment), still prefer Tetris to the latest video games, and sing commercial jingles whilst grocery shopping... And I enjoy every moment! he he |

Re: Nerdy Confessions
My nerdy confession is that I love rollerblading and purple spandex. It's really strange, but when I ran track in college, I would secretly love the cold outdoor practices b/c i could bust out the "purp" (as my roommates called them). I still keep them in my bottom drawer, and when no one is around, I wear them proudly. And someday I'll have the guts to wear them WHILE rollerblading.

Re: Nerdy Confessions
All of these posts are terrific!! Here's a confession to a few of my nerdy quirks:
I enjoying singing in the car. Sounds normal until I tell you what songs I sing: O Holy Night and the Star Spangled Banner. It gets funnier: I usually sing them outside of the holiday too! I just love belching these songs out because I sing them really well (in my opinion anyway). It usually takes me 30 minutes to reply to a simple email just because I want to make sure it makes sense, looks visually appealing, proper words are used, and to ensure the reader is not offended in any way. I also prefer Tetris over any other video game! __________________

I love puzzles and quizs so much I have sudoku toliet paper. I always read the instruction manual sometimes just for interest. When travelling I always vist the local bookstore. When I was school I use to have a "fake" pair of glasses to wear so I would look smarter. I secretly have thing for doris day music. ok I thnk I better stop now before I say something embrassing ooops

Re: Nerdy Confessions
Hi KeriForsythe. Here are a few of my nerdy TV confessions:
I like watching the Bachelor and the Bachelorette and imagine myself being on the show (how I would do things different then those women on there). And my new favorite: Mama's Boy. Sometimes my husband will watch them with me too! LOL! __________________

Purple spandex while roller blading. Suddenly an image of Barney the dinasaur on wheels popped into mind. I'll have to sing "It's a Small World After All" over and over to get it out of my head! The nerdiest thing I did over the holidays was undecorate the house while watching every episode I own of the Golden Girls and quoting the punch lines before they did! |

Re: Nerdy Confessions
Ya know, STUART, the 80's are hip again. So step off the purp! And Keri, I'm totally gonna rollerblade with you - let's find a boardwalk somewhere and you can hold a boom box on one shoulder!
In terms of nerdy tv shows, I'm such a Law and Order geek - since it's on at least one channel 24 hours a day. I have my favorite "crews" and I'll happily rewatch episodes I've already seen.... And - to respond to Stuart's Golden Girls confession - I'm guessing the Stuart see's himself as a "Sophia". Myself, I'm a "Dorothy" - she's the practical one And Keri...hmmmm...you're a "Rose"!! Anyone else identify with a particular Golden Girl? Come on...you know you do! |
