Tacky Christmas Sweaters: Holiday Fashion or Faux pas?
Okay, you've all heard the jingle of tiny bells, seen the glowing of reindeer noses, almost smelled the scent of pine from those yarn Christmas trees. Yet they are all on people walking by you at the office! I mean who in their right mind would put a large fabric poinsettia where you wouldn't normally want your coworkers looking during any other time of the year? Not to mention dancing elves! Discuss:

Um. Well. I say - mixture! It's both faux pas and fabulous fashion festivity! Though I don't sport the blinking reindeer nose sweater throughout the ENTIRE month of December, I would happily wear it on Christmas Day...I draw the line at sweaters embroidered with cats. Since I'm a single woman with two cats, I really can't let that start to happen. It's just not ok. But you know. I'm sure I'll get over that eventually. Some of them are really cute. Yes. I said it. Just don't get me one for Christmas. I'm not quite ready yet.

Last year I was out with some friends having drinks and there was a group of about 20 people in the bar all sporting Holiday Sweaters. They seemed to be having a great time and looked very festive! That being said, I have never owned a Christmas Sweater and I don't foresee wearing one in my near future, although family members LOVE wearing them Christmas day!!

I would rather be festive in colors rather than design. I will probably wear a solid colored red or green sweater and red or green shoes. Sweaters with holiday stuff on them is as bad to me as a pink bunny suit.

I wouldn't wear a holiday sweater. I wouldn't wear holiday colors. I wouldn't wear them at all. Not one, not two, not any at all. I wouldn't wear them to work, I wouldn't wear them to the mall. I wouldn't dare wear one outing, especially in the fall.

But I will say cheesy things.

Okay, jord0205, channeling Dr. Seuss and all! Way to go.

If I see a sweater like that, I'm saying a lot more than just cheesy things. Call me Mr. Grinch.

Even though I posted on jord0205's comment on the festive sweater's (too funny!), I must say that I DO wear holiday colors. I usually just wear a red top with brown trousers so it’s less formal. AND I must admit I do own ONE Christmas sweater. It's red and has one plain and simple snowflake on it; however, it looks more like a Brooch--I have received many compliments when I've worn it!
