I recently heard a good tip at an IAAP meeting. I never know what to do with those address changes that companies send, but tell you they are not moving until a month or so down the road. Up until now I have bf'd the address card to remind myself, but our speaker was saying that she sets a reminder on the contact card by using the flag feature. She sets a reminder for when the company's change of address will occur and it pops up as a reminder so she can update her records and delete the old contact card and start using the new information.

She also had a good idea for flagging contact cards for birthday or employee anniversary reminders. The only problem is the flag system does not give a choice for a recurring reminder, but what she does is put the next year's date in when it comes up.

I find the calendar can be a great tool for reminders like birthdays etc. so you can use the recurring feature, but I do see the sense in using the contact cards because then you have all your information right there.
