Ok, this is hilarious! Check out the 2009 Unemployment Olympics. While those of us gainfully employed are slaving away at our desks, the unemployed will be participating in events such as the fax machine toss, the "You're Fired!" race, and Pin the Blame on the Boss. Of course, proof of unemployment is required for entry...dang it! For one day I just wish I was unemployed. What I would give for a nice fax machine toss...

Be careful what you wish for . . . I've been out of a regular full-time job since February 2008. And the six-month temp assignment I've been on since October is ending on Friday with no prospects in sight.

Not to be a downer (I DO know what it's like to wish for no job

), but in this economy, it's rarely a laughing matter for me anymore.

That said -- the site IS funny!
