back to being on reception
Has anyone had the experience as a PA, you work your butt off, you think that years of PA experience counts for something and then one day, out of the blue you get asked to take on backup reception. I know many PA's have had this experience and like me have cringed, but when I tried to talk to my boss about how I felt it came across a "status" issue. I don't look down on receptionists, but it is an entry level role and I am so dissapointed that that's how I'm seem. I have a new boss and my old boss would have never asked me to do this. I can't explain why I feel this way but I do.

You are not alone. We had a big discussion about it a little while ago. http://www.officearrow.com/forums/jo...eptionist.html
