Office fashion - what's professional?
I saw this article on adminsecret and disagreed with a couple of the items, but it also made me laugh

What do you all think? http://www.adminsecret.com/news/articles/2077-what-professionals-should-never-ever-wear

I have to agree. It depends on your job and place of employment. Working at a theatre in college, we couldn't wear flip flops (due to nails, screws, and such from building sets) but had to wear tennis shoes and clothes that it was the end of the world if they got messed up, even when teaching classes. My office now has a business professional dress code but it is not as strict as the suit only job I had right out of college.

Some of this depends on where you work, however, most of these are dead-on. I once had a guy come to work with black leather pants, and who only knows what his top was made from. After complaints (mostly from other men), we sent him home to change. Nothing's wrong with making a fashion statement, as long as it's tasteful. And, don't even get me started on people who let their underwear show! I mean, come on!

Re underwear ... I agree yik! and low cut pants that reveal a little too much when a person bends over or squats down to pick something up. Wear a longer top or don't wear the pants at all.
