I don't get him anything. I come from the old-school of being a secretary and a secretary was never expected to get their boss a gift, but the boss was expected to get their secretary a gift. I think it had to do with the wage difference between the boss and secretary. My last job, I worked for two lawyers and they always got me a gift, but never expected anything from me. At my new job, I don't get a gift for Christmas and I don't give him one, although he does take me out for lunch on Admin Professionals day. He is a great boss every day so I don't expect anything else.
