Re: Cancel your Verizon Wireless contract without an early termination fee
I'd be curious how that worked out, too - I am considering an iPhone but i don't mind my current Verizon service. If I could get out of the contract AND keep my phone number, it becomes a more interesting proposition, but I'm still on the fence about it.

I was able to keep my phone number, but you need to apply for your new service before you cancel your Verizon account. Fortunately, it was a seamless transfer for me.

Re: Cancel your Verizon Wireless contract without an early termination fee
For any T-Mobile customers, you can also cancel your contract without an early termination fee, but only if you do not have a messaging plan. Read this article posted by "The Boy Genius."
Want to get out of your wireless contract? The T-Mobile edition : Boy Genius Report Unfornuately, I have a messaging plan, so it won't work for me. Otherwise I would LOVE to move to AT&T for the new iPhone 3G that was just released today! T-Mobile better add a better selection of phones sometime soon, or I may just have to pay the termination fee to get out of my contract. |

Re: Cancel your Verizon Wireless contract without an early termination fee
Oh wow, I wish I would have seen this sooner. I SOOOO want to get an Iphone but I can't deal with Verizon's termination fee right now. Just wanted to confirm that I am too late to take advantage of this loophole, correct? *fingers crossed*
Thanks. |
