I am not in a job I love or for that matter even like and it makes me wonder, Why is Wednesday the worst day or the week? Does anyone else feel the same way? I mean wouldn't it make sense that Monday was the worst day since it is the furthest from the weekend?

I think that is so funny. The office i work at has a 'wacky shirt Wednesday', it seems to brighten up the mood a little bit.

I always think Fridays are the worst because the day always seem to move so slowly.

I've noticed Wednesdays are the slowest days. I read some article recently about how Tuesdays are your most productive days because you spend Monday reviewing what needs to be done for the week and Tuesday executing those tasks. Anyway, Wednesday definitely seems like the worst day.

I'm with you, Mike3381. I don't just love my job but to me Monday and Wednesday are the worst days. Monday signifies that the weekend is over and Wednesday means that I have spent the past two days with the same people and still have to spend another two with them.

My friends and I always go to MJQ - a parking garage turned club in Atlanta.

We now call today MJQsday, it feels a lot better that way, plus I have something fun to look forward to at night.

Wednesdays are totally a drag. In my old job it was "hump" day - which sounds bad but apparently, you're at the top of the hump, ready to roll your way down into Thursday and then Friday and sail on through the weekend. I know - lame. It reminds me of that lady in "Office Space" who says, "I think somebody has a case of the Mondays."

Maybe we all just have a case of the Wednesdays...

Because Wed means the weekend is stil 2 whole days away! I had a coworker that thought friday was the best day ever, because of that sense of anticipation of those two long weekend days! He really was a funny man.

It's a total mindset thing, right? As Covey would say, maybe it's just a matter of changing your "paradigm." When I was working full time as a high level admin, I used Wednesday as my "Give Away" day. I focused on giving as many compliments as I could before lunch and then tried to beat that number after lunch! Sounds silly, but it really made the day go by faster and it lifted others up who were feeling the Wednesday slumps, too.
