Help! your advice please.
Hello!

Honestly not only am I new in the Ofice Arrow but I also do not have any educational background in Executive secretarial neither being a secretary. I landed the job as secretary cum receptionist a year ago thru referral from a family friend with my basics knowledge in Computer and internet.By the way the I have learned about internet 6 months before i have the job. I actually a graduate of Elementary Education in my Country and my first job was in sale, a saleslady infact. But I am not embarassed to tell that because it is a dignified job and it helps my family daily needs. After 4 years of working in the same job I thought of shifting back in teaching but unfortunately there are no chances to land into the job because I dont have the experiences. Hard may it seems I never give up, so with God's grace I have this secretarial job which I am very proud of. not to mention I am earning more. But, due to competion I felt that the basic things I know will not suffice to get the executive secretarial job which I wanted to be.

So would like to ask each on of you if what do I have to do to be an Executive Secretary and how shall I achieve it? how am I going to prepare myself and what should I learn? Does anyone of you knows where I can download free books or referenes about Executive Secretary?

What is the difference between executive secretary and virtual assistance?

In short, Executive Secretary title implies that you have spent a good deal of time and built up experience in the field of Secretarial Assistance. You'll not likely be able to move into such a position with at least 5 to 10 years experience in the field.

Definitely learn all you can now, and keep learning what is required, and eventually, you can apply for the Executive level type job.
