Messy Reception Area
Our reception area is filled with personal items, including silk flowers, candles, photos and papers taped to the wall. What is a tactful way to correct this? I am not the receptionist's supervisor.

Re: Messy Reception Area
Hi there hgrier,

We actually have an article titled "Appropriate Cubicle Decor." While it's not specifically geared to a reception area, the rules are pretty universal. From what you are describing, the reception area is not inviting. If you're concerned about it, I would talk with his/her boss. The last thing you want to happen is for a client to say something about it. Hope this helps.

Re: Messy Reception Area
The reception area is usually the first impression a client or vendor has of an office. It would be in your company's best interest to see to it that is poses the image they want to present.

I would suggest to speak to the receptionists supervisor aand voice your concerns.
