Hi guys,

I'm a stay at home mom, trying to re-enter the workforce, I have applied to several positions that I know that i am qualified for. Only a few hits,I think it may be my cover letter. If you can offer any ideas or assistance it would be greatly appreciated.

I Googled cover letter for X and found examples and then customized them for my skills. It helped me a lot to see how other letters were done.

Find people who know someone in org's and companies that interest you. That is the #1 way to get an interview, even an informational one. People want to hire people who have been referred. Get onto linkein or another site. Ask people specifically who knows someone at the org/co in question. Then ask them to introduce you!

Hi I am a newbie to OA as well, I am working on a business plan for a non-profit that has been in the works for awhile now. I am using the business plan tools some friends have offered on here and so far so good. Anyone with any experience in this sort of thing, I would very much welcome your contributing thoughts.
